Job summary

Thales Canada in Montreal seeks a V&V Specialist to support integration, verification, and validation of fly-by-wire flight control systems for regional and business aircraft, drones, and urban air taxis. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or software engineering with at least 1 year of professional experience.
• Experience in design and certification of embedded equipment and systems.
• Aeronautical field knowledge or experience with flight control systems or other critical embedded systems.
• Modeling and V&V using Simulink and Matlab.
• Proficient in both French and English for reports and communication.
• Strong team spirit and collaboration abilities.

Summary

The V&V (Integration, Verification, Validation) Specialist contributes to the integration, verification, and validation activities of simple and complex functions for regional and business aircraft fly-by-wire flight control systems, as well as drones and urban air taxis. They must ensure that the systems comply with their applicable functional, performance, and certification requirements.

• Participates in the definition and execution of Solution Integration, Verification & Validation activities
• May be required to perform integration activities for our new products at customer sites
• Develops product data ready for delivery for production and support
• Participates in the continuous improvement of our products and methods

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or software engineering with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience
• Experience in the field of design and certification of embedded equipment and systems
• Aeronautical field / Knowledge of flight control systems or other critical embedded control systems
• Modeling / V&V (Simulink Matlab)
• Spoken and written French (ability to write reports and communicate effectively)
• Spoken and written English (ability to write reports and communicate effectively)
• Good team spirit

This position requires a good knowledge of English for drafting technical documents, interacting, supporting and/or providing services to international clients, employees and/or partners as well as foreign government authorities who do not speak French.
