Salary Range: $68,640 - $76,000
The candidate will serve as a System Administrator for Unmanned Systems. The candidate will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. This candidate will be expected to attend relevant training courses, workshops, and follow instructions from IT Operations Lead and Senior System Administrators.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure implementation of IS security measures and procedures, including reporting incidents to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or Command Information Systems Security Manager (CISSM), Authorizing Official (AO), and appropriate reporting chains, and coordinate system-level responses to unauthorized disclosures.
- Promote awareness of security issues among management and ensure sound security principles are reflected in organizational goals.
- Develop and implement programs to ensure system, network, and data users understand and adhere to security policies and procedures.
- Participate in network and systems design to ensure security policies are implemented effectively.
- Assess security events to determine impact and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features are properly restored and functioning correctly.
- Communicate and collaborate with IT Operations Lead and Senior System Administrators on mutual interests and impacts.
- Assist with analyzing customer information systems for organizational risk.
- Assist in monitoring information systems and user compliance with cybersecurity policies, and review monitoring results.
- Coordinate cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews with affected parties and organizations.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
- High school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience, or Associate's degree plus 4 years, or a bachelor's degree in an IT field with 2 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Security+ certification is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with DISA security tools and implementing NIST 800-53 or JSIG security controls.
- Experience with MSSQL 2014/2016/2017/2019.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with outside agencies and work independently.
- Experience designing and configuring workstations.
- Ability to integrate DOD cybersecurity policies and guidelines into cybersecurity frameworks supporting mission efforts.
- Assist during the integration of multiple organizations.
- Ensure comprehensive cybersecurity measures are implemented, followed, and recorded timely and accurately, including security scans, SCAP, STIGS, eSTIGS, and vulnerability assessments.
- Configure systems to maintain cybersecurity defenses continually.
- Assess issues during periodic reviews of cybersecurity posture.
- Assist in designing new techniques to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of National, DOD, and DON security systems.
Desired Skills
- Experience designing servers, Network Attached Storage (NAS), or network devices.
- Experience utilizing Agile/Agile Kanban methodologies for project documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to identify, define, and document program needs, procedures, problems, requirements, and access levels.
- Supporting mission operations with DOD cyber operations knowledge and experience.
