Your Team

Join the Digital Experience team at Flair as a UX UI Designer, shaping intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital experiences across Flair’s customer-facing platforms in a fast-paced, office-based environment. Reporting to the Manager, UX UI, you will play a key role in designing cohesive and impactful user journeys, collaborating closely with product, engineering, marketing, and content teams to deliver solutions that meet both user needs and business goals. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, scalable component libraries, and content structures, ensuring consistency and flexibility across all digital touchpoints. Experience with Content Management Systems, particularly Contentful, is an asset in supporting a seamless content and interface experience. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional setting. You bring a strong foundation in UX UI best practices, modern design tools, and a passion for advocating user-centered design principles.

This position is based on-site at our office inVancouver, BC (YVR).

A Day In The Life

As a UX UI Designer, you will:

• Champion best-in-class UX UI practices and promote a structured, iterative design process across teams.
• Translate customer needs and business objectives into seamless, engaging digital experiences.
• Lead design discussions grounded in user research, data insights, and UX heuristics.
• Help develop, document, and evolve a scalable design system that ensures consistency across multiple platforms and products.
• Build and maintain reusable UI components with a focus on cross-platform compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate and efficient design-to-code implementation.
• Structure and manage content effectively within the Contentful CMS to optimize editorial workflows and user experience.
• Work closely with product and content teams to ensure alignment between design and content models.
• Create thoughtful wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to explore and validate design concepts.
• Ensure all visuals align with Flair’s brand identity and meet high standards for usability and accessibility.
• Actively participate in cross-functional workshops, design critiques, and agile ceremonies.
• Advocate for the strategic role of design in solving complex business problems and fostering a culture of design excellence.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives and collaborative input to drive innovation.
• Support the organization and facilitation of design workshops to promote creative thinking and team alignment.
• Take initiative in your professional development, stay current with industry trends and bring relevant insights back to the team.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture by encouraging open communication and a shared commitment to quality and innovation.
• Act as a bridge between the design team and other departments to promote understanding of user experience as a key business driver.

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 2+ years’ experience in the field or equivalent
• Portfolio showcasing relevant design projects and demonstrating a strong understanding of UX UI principles.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Solid understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
• Proficiency in modern design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, Jira, ClickUp, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they influence design decisions.
• Exceptional communicator with strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn, grow, and adapt to new design methodologies and challenges.
• Requirements:
• Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
