CoVet is an AI copilot application built to assist veterinary professionals by saving them time and allowing them to focus more on animal care—or even get home on time. We are a small, passionate, and agile team with a strong mission to improve the veterinary industry through innovative technology.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive, beautiful, and functional user experiences for our web and mobile applications. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our overall design vision, establishing design standards, and driving the strategic design roadmap. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end design solutions that address user needs and business objectives while laying the foundation for a strong design culture within the company.

What you'll do

  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Design low- and high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes that illustrate user interactions and design concepts.
  • Create visually appealing and consistent interfaces using design principles such as typography, colour theory, and layout.
  • Ensure designs are responsive and accessible.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, aligned with business goals, and meet technical requirements.
  • Plan and conduct usability tests to validate design concepts, gather feedback, and iterate on designs based on insights.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency across all product interfaces.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, data, and evolving project requirements.
  • Keep up with industry trends, design tools, and best practices to continuously improve your skill set and the team’s design processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UI/UIX Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio. demonstrating your design skills, including web and mobile app designs.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with motion design or animation for user interactions.
  • Familiarity with conducting user research and analyzing data to inform design decisions .
