The UX Designer's role is client-centric. This role interprets insights, integrates them with a client's vision, and uses knowledge of best practices to build products that are both functional and desirable.
What You Will Do
- Work with a team of designers, developers, writers, and producers to understand project requirements and create concepts that help define the best possible user experience, while supporting the client's business objectives.
- Connect business goals to user needs through sketching, concept creation, wireframes, defining user flows, and producing site maps with prototyping.
- Leverage user and consumer insights, analytics, best practices, and competitor analysis to guide project decisions.
- Prepare UX documentation (e.g., site architecture, wireframes, heat mapping audits, use cases, task flows) for team use.
- Document findings and present recommendations to stakeholders clearly and confidently.
- Join client calls to discuss findings and recommendations effectively.
- Build wireframes and digital prototypes, and iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Conduct audits using analytics and user data to make informed product enhancement recommendations.
- Develop information architectures and suggest improvements to meet client objectives.
- Identify opportunities to refine the UX process.
- Apply knowledge of tourism and travel industry trends, competitive activity, and e-commerce best practices to improve user experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in UX Design, Experience Architecture, or related roles.
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, User Research, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to solve complex problems through analysis, creative thinking, and collaboration.
- Knowledge of web accessibility principles, W3C guidelines, and responsive design.
- Confidence in presenting complex findings to stakeholders.
- Strong data analysis skills to inform decision-making.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Highly organized, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and capable of working well in a team.
- Flexible, collaborative, and motivated attitude.
- Assets include experience with Google Analytics, PageSense, Clarity, Slickplan, or similar tools; knowledge of HTML and CSS responsive design; UI design skills.
