Job description

Reffie is a full-featured workflow operating system for residential leasingteams across the United States and Canada. Property management software hasn'tmeaningfully changed in decades. Leasing teams still juggle a dozen inboxes, spreadsheets, and portals to do their jobs. We're replacing that mess with onefast, modern platform that consolidates leads, automates outreach, and surfacesthe analytics that fill vacancies faster. Our mission is simple: house familiesfaster.

As our UX Design Intern, you’ll work directly with the Product team in Toronto on the product leasing agents use every day: inboxes, calendars, dashboards, and the automations that tie them together. This isn’t a role where your work sits in a drawer. You’ll design something, watch it get built, and see real users try it, often in the same week.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office. On office days, you’ll sit with the engineers building what you design.

What you’ll do
  • Design flows and screens for new features, from rough sketches through polished, build-ready mockups.
  • Turn messy, real-world leasing workflows into interfaces that feel calm and obvious.
  • Sit in on customer calls and usability sessions, and bring what you learn back into the design.
  • Help grow and tidy up our design system: type, color, components, and the details that make the product feel like one thing.
  • Contribute to marketing and brand work, from landing pages to social graphics.
What we’re looking for
  • A portfolio. This is required. Show us work you’re proud of, and tell us what you’d change about it now.
  • Currently enrolled in a graphic design, interaction design, HCI, or similar program. Strong self-taught designers are welcome too.
  • Solid fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy.
  • Comfort in Figma or a similar design tool.
  • Curiosity about how people actually work, and the willingness to ask why, often.
  • You can take feedback without taking it personally, and give it the same way.
  • You’re located in the Toronto area and authorized to work in Canada.
Nice to have
  • Experience designing for web apps or data-heavy interfaces, not just static visuals.
  • Some familiarity with HTML and CSS, enough to know what’s easy to build and what isn’t.
  • Your school, program, and expected graduation date
  • One product you use every day and think is designed badly, and how you’d fix it
