Job summary

A leading company in the process control industry is seeking an experienced individual to package goods for shipping, manage inventory, and maintain safety standards in a shop environment. Candidates with mechanical experience and strong problem-solving skills will be favored for this physical role, offering opportunities for growth in a diverse workplace.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience preferred in the industry.
  • Understanding of Fisher and Final Control products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of analyzing and resolving equipment problems is strongly preferred.

  • Build pallets, crates, and package goods for shipping.
  • Read Purchase Orders and pull stock parts from inventory.
  • Create Bill of Lading and other shipping documents.

Job description

  • Build pallets, crates, and package goods for shipping, including weighing items on scales, plus using UPS, FedEx and other metering scales for shipping.
  • Work with and identify parts and products by description and number.
  • Read Purchase Orders and identify customer or vendor requirements for shipping and receiving.
  • Read Purchase Orders and identify customer or vendor requirements for shipping and receiving.
  • Pull stock parts from inventory, both physically and in ERP system
  • Create Bill of Lading and other shipping documents used to ship materials
  • Contact shipping companies to schedule deliveries.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping in all shop areas by sweeping and emptying all garbage cans, recycle bins, chip hoppers and dumpsters
  • Participation and involvement in Safety, Quality and Activities Committees.

Education/experience required:

  • 2+ year of previous industry related experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical related Associates degree is a plus.
  • Experience in the process control industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding or work experience with Fisher and Final Control product preferred.

Prolonged standing, lifting 35 pounds, bending, scooping, repetitive motions.
