Position Title: Utility Systems Operator (USO) Trainee Liquid Waste (2 Positions)
Position Status: Full-Time Temporary (Positions to last not later than December 31, 2025)

Location: South Fraser Works Yard, Surrey
Salary Range/Wage Rate: $32.84 hourly plus 6.25% deferred compensation
This role receives an additional 6.25% deferred compensation on hours worked, which can be taken as compensation or time off.
Our Liquid Waste Services Department is seeking two USO Trainees Liquid Waste who are team-oriented, eager to learn, safety-conscious, and enjoy working in a diverse environment. We seek individuals passionate about Metro Vancouver's sewer and drainage systems who will bring positive energy to our team.
You are: A team player looking to grow, with a positive, respectful attitude. Candidates should have completed Grade 12, possess mechanical aptitude with tools and equipment, have construction or trades experience, and be proficient with computers.

The trainee will, within 24 months, obtain EOCP Wastewater Collections Level 1 certification. Upon certification, the position will be reclassified to USO I.
