SUMMARY

To assist on the Fux machine as needed. Including operate, grade, feed, and drive forklift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive forklift to transport material, supplies, and stock.
  • Learn to operate the Fux machine as back up operator.
  • Grade material for any defects and ensure good quality.
  • Communicate any quality defects to the operator.
  • Package material as it comes off line.
  • Housekeeping of area daily.
  • Assist by moving to other departments to fill in where needed.
  • Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
  • Comply with established safety rules and use required safety equipment.
  • Comply with company policy and procedures.
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors and managers.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of supervisor and/or lead.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education/Knowledge

Less than high school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience

3-6 months of experience driving forklift.

  • Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Communication

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
