Job description

Utility Summary

The Utility perform material change overs, set ups and maintains material feeding units on injection molding machines in the Production Department. They directly support the Production Team to ensure the production of high quality parts in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform material and color changes on plastic injection molding machines
• Split molds and pull insulated runners from molds
• Set-up and adjust material mixing units
• Accurately document color usage and product completion in IQMS
• Maintain clean and organized material storage and work areas
• Transport pallets of finished goods to warehouse
• Assist production by providing breaks to Machine Operators as required
• Follow all Company processes and procedures to ensure safe, productive work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 1-3 years' experience in material handling in plastics manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend process set up instructions and company policies and procedures
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to use basic hand tools is required
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently
• Ability to follow safe manufacturing practices
• Must be motivated to work with or without constant supervision in a group setting
