Utilities & Tank Farm Process Engineer - Relocate to Saudi Arabia

Join us as a Utilities & Tank Farm Process Engineer at Aramco in Saudi Arabia. This role requires relocation and offers a unique opportunity to work with a global leader in the energy industry.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Downstream Process Engineer with extensive expertise in Utilities processes to support our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization within the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD). Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring, optimizing, and improving performance across Utilities, providing technical support, and benchmarking best practices globally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct performance reviews of Utilities using KPIs and develop benchmarking reports with improvement recommendations.
  2. Lead workshops on best practices among global facilities.
  3. Provide remote and on-site technical support, including troubleshooting, start-up/shutdown, and capacity testing.
  4. Collaborate on cost and process improvements with engineering teams.
  5. Assess Utilities against Saudi Aramco standards and highlight deviations or improvements.
  6. Coordinate global and corporate Utility programs and support capital project evaluations.
  7. Evaluate and recommend new Utility technologies.
  8. Organize technical workshops with equipment suppliers.
  9. Develop technical training for facilities.
  10. Participate in safety and hazard studies, incident investigations, and safety improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of Utilities experience, with 10+ years in refinery utilities operations.
  • Experience with water desalination and boilers for steam generation.
  • Proven ability to optimize utility systems and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Knowledge of major equipment suppliers and performance metrics analysis.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
