Job summary

Leclerc Biscuits, a Brockville-based plant in Canada, is seeking a Utilities/Facilities maintenance technician. You will maintain boilers, HVAC, chillers, pumps, and water systems, while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance, a capable engineer class, strong problem solving, and experience with computerized systems. On-call availability and teamwork are essential for success at Leclerc Biscuits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in maintenance and utilities/facilities operation.
• Operating Engineer 3rd/4th class or technical associate degree.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in the use of computerized systems and good computer skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork, results oriented, self-motivated, and good planning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.
• Develop checklists, inspection plans and SOPs as applicable to the work.
• Develop, communicate and implement maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guidelines to support consistency and efficiency.
• Supervise all equipment rebuilds, develop specifications, implement tracking methods and monitor quality control.
• Troubleshooting issues and correcting where applicable.
• Operate power equipment including HVAC, boilers, chilled water systems, and related auxiliary equipment.
• Lead the development of maintenance programs and work schedules as required.
• Analyze and record operational documentation and metrics.
