This position will be open and accepting applications until Wednesday, May 21, 2025. The USVI Maintenance Supervisor will be directly involved in:
- Managing remote area operations with a complex network of relationships.
- Handling limited resources of contractors.
- Overseeing depot operations in a downgraded mode.
- Working on weekends.
- Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and fine finger dexterity.
- This job is located in a busy, open-space office environment.
- The incumbent faces constant interruptions and must meet regularly with others.
Activities
The USVI Maintenance Supervisor will work in an environment that involves:
- Supervising receipt, storage, and delivery of bulk fuel products at the terminal handling 48,000 barrels, ensuring safe operations, product quality, and correct procedures.
- Managing product receipt, stock control, quality analysis, preventive maintenance, personnel management, budget oversight, and terminal asset management.
- Providing procedures and guidelines to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operations.
- Creating a safe and healthy environment for all personnel involved.
Safety
- Supporting the USVI Director in meeting Safety, Security, Health, Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) standards.
- Ensuring proper use of safety tools and coordinating security services.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental and federal regulations.
Management
- Supervising USVI Operators.
- Ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
- Coordinating emergency drills and response plans.
- Participating in project execution and providing technical feedback.
- Monitoring operational expenditures.
- Training employees and conducting contractor evaluations.
- Supporting the USVI Director in their absence.
Maintenance
- Ensuring the effectiveness of maintenance programs.
- Supervising terminal maintenance and safety inspections.
- Monitoring inventory of materials and equipment.
- Planning and controlling maintenance activities.
Others
- Ensuring compliance with MAESTRO principles and procedures.
- Working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Supporting operational needs with flexible scheduling.
Candidate Profile
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Fluent in English; Spanish fluency preferred.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in maintenance operations within the oil distribution or related industry.
- Computer skills: SAP, Access, Excel, Daisy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team-building abilities.
- Experience in retail, commercial, and marketing activities preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
