Here’s how

  • Prepare and review quarterly and year-end financial statement tax provisions and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Prepare and review US tax compliance forms for foreign entities, such as forms 5471s, 5472s, and calculations for GILTI, FDII, subpart F, BEAT, and FTC.
  • Calculate earnings and profits and maintain tax attribute data.
  • Support audits conducted by US Taxation authorities, liaising with government agencies, reviewing reassessment proposals, researching legislation, preparing position papers, filing objections, negotiating resolutions, and supporting litigation.
  • Support internal initiatives related to income taxation, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, process improvements, and treasury activities.
  • Review agreements and contracts to ensure compliant and favorable tax outcomes for TELUS.
  • Participate in system implementations and projects to optimize tax outcomes.

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Minimum 5 years of US domestic, inbound, and outbound income tax experience, with strong technical knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative tax solutions.
  • Strong financial and tax accounting skills.
  • Proactive, takes ownership, and sees challenges through to resolution.
  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • Clear communicator, conveying ideas simply and effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with positive relationship skills, including with senior leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Adaptable, curious, and driven for continuous improvement.

Great-to-haves
