Our client is a leading global full-service firm, and they are looking to hire a Law Clerk with at least 5 years of experience to join their team in Toronto dedicated to developing and preparing timely-filed Canadian and U.S. immigration applications for corporate clients (and their employees) as well as high net worth individuals.

Your new role

In this new role you will be responsible for implementing various immigration strategies to deliver on clients’ needs and mitigate immigration risks. You will also be required to draft legal forms, prepare documents and submissions independently at the instruction of a lawyer. Additionally, you will be delivering high volume, challenging Canadian and U.S. business immigration services, preparing applications for United States work permits, nonimmigrant visas, nonimmigrant waivers, permanent residence applications, and citizenship/passport matters.

What you will need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must have comprehensive knowledge of Canadian business immigration law (knowledge of U.S. business immigration law considered an asset), as evidenced by at least five (5) years of relevant full-time work experience as an immigration law clerk.

You will bring with you a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. To succeed you should also have excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels.
