Position Summary

Are you an Urgent Response Clinician looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Specialized Services department.

The Urgent Response Clinician functions as a member of the larger Specialized Services team and as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing direct and indirect mobile crisis intervention, mental health, and substance use clinical services. The goal is to ensure timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports for individuals with serious mental health problems, problematic substance use, or withdrawal management issues across the continuum of available services.

The Urgent Response Clinician provides crisis response, assessment, suicide intervention, short-term treatment planning, time-limited case management, and rapid response to clients with potential serious functional impairments in physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social domains. The role involves functioning as a primary clinician utilizing various specialized treatment modalities for individuals, groups, and families.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days, Evenings - 11:00 to 19:30, Rotating

Location: Prince Rupert

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field from an accredited institution.
  • Three years' recent related experience, including providing treatment to individuals with mental health or concurrent disorders, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Eligible for registration with the relevant professional association.
  • Current valid B.C. driver's license.
  • Successful initial RCMP Security Screen and Enhanced Security Clearance.
