URGENT NEED
We are seeking a qualified caregiver for a client in Oakville to cover the overnight shift from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Applicants must be fully vaccinated, including for shingles and other communicable diseases, to be considered for this position.

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Caregivers. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need.

Duties

• Provide assistance with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assist with medication reminders
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary needs
• Assist with mobility, including lifting and transferring individuals
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities
• Implement behavior management techniques as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment

Skills

• Experience caring for bedbound patients and using Hoyer lift is required
• Knowledge of dementia care and working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
• Proficiency in meal preparation and following dietary guidelines
• Familiarity with direct support systems and protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and their families

Job Types: PRN (potential to lead to Full-time based on performance)

Pay rate: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30–40 per week

Schedule

Night shift 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Mondays to Sundays

Experience (Preferred)

• Caregiving: 1-3 years
• Bed bound: 1-3 years
• Dementia Care: 1-3 years
• Hospice Care: 1-3 years
• Alzheimer's Care: 1-3 years

Licenses/Certifications

• Driver's License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to commute to Oakville (Required)
• Ability to relocate to Oakville before starting work (Required)
