Our firm is currently seeking an intermediate-level Urban Planner with industry experience. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team researching, analyzing, and preparing land development projects and planning studies for both private and public sector clients. Reporting to the Division Manager and Principals, this person will have the opportunity to lead a range of exciting land development projects across Southwestern Ontario. This is a full-time, in-office role based in either London or Kitchener, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate development application submissions, including:

    • Official Plan Amendments

    • Zoning Bylaw Amendments

    • Site Plan Applications

    • Minor Variance and Consent Applications

    • Plans of Subdivision

  • Organize and lead public consultation and community information meetings

  • Conduct research and prepare due diligence and planning justification studies

  • Collaborate with other disciplines and manage workload and project backlogs

  • Plan, schedule, and lead the technical components of land development projects

  • Maintain and build strong client relationships; participate in business development efforts

  • Demonstrate professionalism and accountability in time management, quality assurance, and delivery on budget and timelines

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Degree in Urban Planning or a related field

  • Full membership in OPPI (or eligibility to apply)

  • RPP designation, or eligible within 6 months

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience, preferably in a consulting environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in office software, graphics, and planning/design tools

  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational abilities

  • Capable of working both independently and in team settings

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Motivated to grow and develop professionally
