A leading educational institution is seeking summer residential tutors for the Upward Bound program. Tutors will assist students in classes, lead study sessions, and facilitate workshops while living on-site for 7 weeks. Ideal candidates are energetic and sensitive to student needs, with a focus on creating a positive learning environment. This role offers compensation of $4,200 plus room and board, providing a unique opportunity to mentor students and enhance their academic skills.

Upward Bound summer tutors are responsible for assisting in classes, leading daily study sessions, and co-facilitating creative workshops. Tutors may also assist with dorm life, help organize special events and field trips, and stay current with course content in collaboration with teachers.
Tutors are present in the dorms and during meals, assigned to small groups of students with whom they share a suite. They meet regularly for activities and mentorship. Candidates should be highly motivated, patient, energetic, and capable of working in a residential setting for 7 weeks (including one week of staff training).
Compensation: $4,200 plus room and board.
Program Dates: June 29 – August 8, 2025 (Sunday evenings to Friday afternoons). Note: June 29 is student move-in day in the afternoon; subsequent Sundays start in the evening.

Transportation: Roundtrip transportation from Boston (JFK T-station) to the residential site is provided, with pick-up and drop-off at JFK/UMass T-Station.
