Job summary

PAL Technical Services in St. John's, NL is seeking an Upholsterer to perform upholstery operations on aircraft interiors, including seating and furnishings, galleys and walls.

You will fabricate, install, and repair upholstery, cut fabrics, leather, foams, and flooring, and work with Tedlar coverings under safety guidelines; comprehensive benefits and travel perks are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year Upholstery experience, supported by Education or equivalent.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to provide results and meet deadlines is an absolute must.

Responsibilities

• Carry out upholstery operations on aircraft interiors.
• Fabrication, installation, and repair of upholstery for aircraft galleys, dividers, and furnishings including seats and interior furnishings.
• Cutting/laying of carpet and vinyl flooring; laminate Tedlar decorative coverings on interiors, sidewalls, overhead bins and bulkheads.
• Safely apply adhesives and handle regulated materials (foams, fabrics, leathers).

As an Upholsterer your main duty will be to carry out upholstery operations on aircraft interiors. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to, the fabrication, installation, and repair of upholstery for aircraft galleys, dividers, and other furnishings, including aircraft seats and interior furnishings, walls and other interior areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A diverse position requiring skills to fabricate and maintain aircraft interiors including replacement of carpet s and vinyl flooring s, cutting of fabrics, leathers, and foams for aircraft seats, and the replacing of sidewall panel, overhead bin, and bulkhead coverings with new Tedlar would be a particular asset.

• Cutting/laying of carpet and vinyl flooring.
• Ability to laminate (remove/install Tedlar decorative covering) on aircraft interiors , sidewalls, overhead bins and bulkheads.
• Safely apply adhesives and handle regulated materials (foams, fabrics, leathers).
