Job summary

Pantheon Inc. is seeking a UNIX Midrange Support Specialist to manage UNIX/AIX and Linux server environments, ensuring security, availability, performance, and reliability in Regina, Saskatchewan. The role includes Tier 2 support, backups, DR, and capacity planning.

You will monitor system performance, coordinate with teams and vendors, and maintain documentation and SL reports. Some after-hours support in a 24/7 environment may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong UNIX/AIX and Linux administration experience.
• Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and storage management.
• Knowledge of data centre operations, hardware maintenance, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with ITIL-based incident and problem management.
• ITIL certification (Foundation or Service Manager) preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain UNIX/AIX and Linux server environments for high availability.
• Provide Tier 2 technical support, including incident and problem management per ITIL.
• Manage backups, recovery, DR, and high-availability services.
• Monitor capacity, CPU, memory, DASD, disk and storage utilization.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and support projects.
• Prepare technical documentation and service-level reports.
• Provide after-hours support in a 24/7 environment.
