Unit Support Worker
Permanent Part-time (0.08 FTE)

The File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council is a dynamic and progressive organization that provides a range of programs and health services which serve eleven First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory. The position is based at the All Nations Healing Hospital (ANHH), located in Fort Qu’Appelle, SK.

The Rising Bear Healing Centre is seeking a permanent part-time Dialysis Unit Support Worker to provide clerical and environmental services support to the Satellite Dialysis Unit to support the expansion of dialysis services in Rising Bear Healing Center located at the ANHH. As part of the multidisciplinary team, reporting to the Team Lead, the role of this position will include but not limited to:

  • Provide support to the delivery of dialysis services through portering, maintaining inventory and cleaning
  • Responsible for ordering and distribution of inventory supplies for the dialysis area
  • Organize supplies and equipment in designated areas
  • Provide reception and administrative support
  • Register, greet clients/families to the department
  • Works within scope to access, update and retrieve patient medical information within the electronic health systems
  • Performs data entry into electronic Medical Records
  • Responsible for chart maintenance
  • Responsible for cleaning dialysis machines after each use
  • Porter patients as required

Qualifications:

  • Office education certificate or related health care experience
  • Previous administrative experience working within a heath care setting would be an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated knowledge and respect of, and ability to work within First Nations Traditional and Spiritual Institutes

Hours of Work:
12 – 10.1 hour shifts (0700-1736) in a 28 day period

Rate of Pay/Benefits:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience
Competitive health and pension plan
