A long-term care provider in Hamilton is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate daily staffing for the Nursing Department. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, exceptional English communication skills, and the ability to maintain a safe environment. The Opportunity

This Nursing Unit Clerk is responsible for coordinating the daily staffing of the Nursing Department. This role assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members.

What Is In It For You
  • Assists in the coordination of staffing and scheduling needs for the Nursing Department including replacement of staff on a daily "call in" basis and updating staffing changes on the Master Schedule and daily compliments.
  • Obtains approval for overtime work from the Director of Care.
  • Maintains attendance/absenteeism reports and communicates any recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.
What You Will Need
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education an asset.
  • Must have exceptional English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain current CPR.
