NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION: UNIT CLERK II – OR/Maternal/Child/Patient Registration/SPAC
Primary Site: Stratford
Regular Part-Time
(Shifts: 8- and 12-hour days, 7 days/week), may be subject to change
POSITION SUMMARY: As the primary contact in the Maternal Child/OR Departments, the Unit Clerk II coordinates unit activities to promote positive relationships with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. The role involves effective clerical and communication activities, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting the efficient operation of the unit.
REPORTS TO: Manager, Maternal Child
DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible
SALARY: $27.47 to $29.15 per hour
Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education
  • Two-year Medical Office Administration Diploma

Experience:

  • One year of recent experience in a healthcare setting
  • Previous experience in a Registration Department preferred
  • Experience with Novari Software and payroll data entry is an asset

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent time management, communication, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills for dealing with patients, families, and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team members and interact professionally with all stakeholders
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the position
  • Responsible for administrative tasks including reception, greeting visitors, maintaining records, transcribing physician orders, etc.
