The Unit Secretary provides clerical support for the patient care area under the guidance and direction of the nursing staff. Responsibilities include providing support to hospital physicians and nurses, ensuring clerical supplies are ordered and stocked in the department, answering phone calls, and greeting visitors who enter the department. The Unit Secretary also serves as the department EMR super user, providing support to attending physicians and assisting in the training of new employees.
