The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Inpatient and Ambulatory Medical Care, and supervised by the Clinical Leader, the Unit Aide works within a team to ensure a safe, clean environment for patients and families in the PMU Inpatient Unit.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and disinfecting per Infection Control guidelines
• Ensuring patient rooms are clean and tidy
• Maintaining supplies and equipment for the unit
• Transporting defective equipment to Biomedical Engineering
• Assisting with escorting and transporting patients
• Assisting Ward Clerks with requisitions, specimens, X-rays, etc.

Your Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous Unit Aide experience preferred
- Good communication skills required
- Commitment to Family-Centred Care required
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively
- Competency in other languages considered an asset

Candidates will be required to complete a written skills testing questionnaire covering topics like WHMIS, infection control, privacy, and confidentiality.
