Job summary

Wesco is hiring full-time Warehouse workers in Edmonton, Canada. You will receive training on distribution and supply chain practices used by Fortune 250 companies worldwide. The role involves straightforward warehouse tasks and union environment considerations, with a shift from 2:00 p.m.

to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. As an Operations Associate, you will manage receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and light assembly, plus operating warehouse equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required / entry level.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, pick, pack, and ship orders.
• Handle wire cutting and light assembly as assigned.
• Operate warehouse equipment when necessary.
• Verify incoming shipments and returns.
• Enter orders into computer systems and perform QA inspections.

A Day in The Life of an Operations Associate

As an Operations Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, as well as light assembly of assigned areas. You will be in charge of operating warehouse equipment, including power equipment, when necessary. *This position is part of a union.

• Handle incoming shipments


• Perform verification of supplier inbound, customer returns, and branch returns


• Enter order receipts into computer systems


• Perform quality assurance inspection


• Utilizes available equipment to stage and put away inbound material
