Job summary

Securiguard Services Ltd. in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a professional security guard to maintain safety for personnel and property. You will enforce provincial regulations, monitor CCTV, control access, report incidents, and respond promptly to alarms.

The ideal candidate holds an Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR, can walk 12-hour shifts, and has reliable transportation. We offer paid training, extended health and dental benefits, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR are required.
• Experience in security, preferably in construction, corporate, or commercial settings.
• Excellent communication, observation, and attention to detail.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License (G2/G) and access to a personal vehicle.
• Ability to walk/stand for 12-hour shifts and perform patrols.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a security professional, you'll contribute to the safety to our stakeholders by enforcing provincial and municipal regulations, enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring CCTV systems and operating security control room equipment, controlling access to the site, reporting any hazards or security breaches, and responding to incidents.

The Day-to-Day

• Provide a visual presence and monitor premises to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action.
• Perform access control, checking credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients and visitors when needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents and activities.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License and First AID/CPR
• Proven experience in security, preferably in a construction, corporate, commercial or similar setting
• Excellent Communication Skills, observation and attention to detail skills.
• Valid Ontario Drivers LicenseG2/G license & having a personal vehicle
• Keen Eye for Observing Exterior and Interior Premises
• Access Control Experience
• Ability to walk/stand 12-hour shifts providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents

Pay Rate: $19.05

Location: 180 Honda Boulevard, Markham
