Role Overview:

As an Underwriting Specialist, Commercial Lines, you will review and evaluate large, complex account applications to determine risk, coverage, and premiums. You will accept or reject applications based on established policies, procedures, standards, and authority levels.

How You Will Create Impact:

• Promote, underwrite, and quote new business, renewals, and endorsements in line with the company’s underwriting philosophy, rating, loss ratio objectives, service standards, and authority levels.
• Negotiate coverage and rates, and participate in underwriting audits.
• Complete necessary documentation to support your business.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with brokers.
• Adopt a team-oriented approach to meet corporate and department goals, including written premium and profitability targets.
