A Quality Assurance Specialist proactively identifies gaps, develops training solutions, and ensures consistency in underwriting practices from coast to coast. They are analytical thinkers, strong communicators, and champions of best practices who are committed to supporting the growth and development of our underwriting teams.

They also bring a strong understanding ofadult learning principles, designing and delivering training that is engaging, practical, and tailored to the needs of experienced professionals. They know how to create learning environments that foster retention, application, and continuous development.

If you are great at:

  • Leading and conducting underwriting audits to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Analyzing data and metrics to drive operational efficiency and underwriting quality

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure national consistency and compliance

  • Designing and delivering engaging training programs grounded in adult education theory

  • Applying instructional design methodologies to create impactful learning experiences

  • Communicating audit findings and recommendations to leadership

  • Supporting the development of national underwriting standards and training content

  • Facilitating training sessions and measuring learning outcomes

If you have:

  • 7+ years of progressive underwriting and/or underwriting audit experience

  • Strong knowledge of property, casualty, and auto insurance products and policy forms

  • 2+ years of experience in training or instructional design, with a focus on adult education

  • Familiarity with adult learning models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick’s Evaluation Model)

  • Completion of CIP/FCIP designation

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Bilingualism in English and French (a strong asset; required in Quebec and Atlantic regions)

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
