What it's like to be an Underwriting Portfolio Lead at Northbridge Financial :

Our Underwriting Portfolio Lead manages and oversees the enhancement and expansion of the automation of Commercial Underwriting rules within Small Business across all Northbridge Financial brands. They work in conjunction with the Lead Portfolio Analyst to oversee our current Underwriting automation and make recommendations for enhancements based on their findings. They routinely work with both Underwriting and Technical Leads to ensure our practices are optimized.

They are Digital Underwriting experts, reviewing portfolios, conducting audits, reviewing automation rules, and ensuring underwriting intent is maintained. They continuously improve and expand automation practices while prioritizing profitability.

  • Digital Underwriting; understanding Underwriting platforms and complex automation practices
  • Relationship-building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills across all levels

  • 10+ years of Property + Casualty experience
  • Proficiency in operational procedures, workflow, and processing functions
  • Working knowledge of other key functional areas (Claims, Risk Management, IT)
