Job summary

Trisura in Toronto seeks a qualified Underwriter / Senior Underwriter for our Professional Solutions team. The role blends underwriting and business development, evaluating, pricing, and underwriting risks while promoting products and strengthening broker relationships.

The successful candidate will handle delegated authority, develop tailored coverage solutions, mentor junior underwriters, and collaborate with claims, actuarial, product development and marketing. Hybrid Toronto office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years underwriting specialty lines (E&O/Cyber/Technology preferred)
• Strong broker and market relationships, with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in business development and marketing within the insurance industry

Responsibilities

• Assess, price, and underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.

UNDERWRITER, PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Underwriter / Senior Underwriter to join our Professional Solutions department. This role is a blend of underwriting and business development responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, pricing, and underwriting risks while also actively promoting our products, strengthening broker relationships, and driving growth in the Professional Solutions portfolio.

Accountabilities include:

• Assess, price, and underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.

Location:

• Downtown Toronto – Hybrid

Salary:

• The expected salary in this position is within the range of $70,000 - $90,000

This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura Group provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
