Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inspection ordering, review, and recommendations.
  • Analyze and update internal policy uploads between two applications.
  • Support certificate checks on all new business issued.
  • Gather and assess risk information to determine eligibility for general insurance risks.
  • Assist in developing new programs and maintaining current ones.
  • Communicate with Account Executives regarding policy issuance, changes, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Interpret and validate coverage based on policy terms.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to insurers.
  • Support internal departments with policy interpretation and technical advice.
  • Assist with industry market research to ensure competitive premiums and coverage.

COMMERCIAL LINES UNDERWRITER

In this role, you will support Western's Account Executives by liaising with insurance specialists for accurate risk assessment, mitigation, and acceptance for new policies. You will collaborate with team members to maintain service standards and improve procedures for various insurance products.

Here is what a typical day looks like:

  • Assist with inspection ordering, review, and recommendations

Salary Range: $45,500 - $62,500
