Job summary

Redpath Mining Inc. is seeking a Scoop Operator for underground operations. You will load, haul and dump ore or waste from development and production areas using 2 yd or 8 yd equipment, in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include identifying unsafe conditions, drilling, installing mine services and coordinating with shift supervisors. Requires 2+ years mining experience and specific Ontario hard rock miner certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2 years or more experience as a miner.
• Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner – Common Core.
• Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Specialty Module codes.

Responsibilities

• Operate 2 yd or 8 yd mining equipment to load, haul and dump ore or waste.
• Identify unsafe conditions in underground headings and maintain safety standards.
• Drill holes using hand-held pneumatic drills or drill-boom mounted on bolter.
• Install or fix mine services using lifting equipment.
• Operate large mobile equipment such as 8 yard scoop tram and man lift.
• Follow instructions from Shift Supervisors and Captain for ground control.
• Read and understand written and verbal instructions for safe duties.
