Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Detour UG Operation you will be part of the UG Operation department. As a Project Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the projects team. This is a broad role that is fast paced, which requires dedicated focus with high volume workload (data) and key deadlines for reporting.

  • Compile and edit Agnico Eagle reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • Attend meetings, submit minutes
  • SAP purchase requisitions for Projects
  • Do the verification and receiving of service invoices
  • Work in close relationship with warehouse and procurement to help built the UG inventory and keep track of material at site
  • Support the team in preparing engineering progress payment certificates, change notices, change orders
  • Collect & record contractor hours data
  • Record payroll time entry and employee absences
  • Liaise with various departments to coordinate travel, hotels and expense reports
  • Update phone lists, crew lists and related documents for Projects
  • Other duties as required
  • Post Secondary Administration or Business Course
  • Minimum 5 years experience in commensurate administrative role
  • Advanced Computer skills Microsoft Suite, SAP, SIMS, SuccessFactors would be an asset
  • Ability to understand organizational dynamics and the pivotal aspect of the Administrators role
  • Great capacity to organise and prioritise competing demands
  • Team player with focus on deliverable outcomes
  • Capacity to hold others accountable for deadlines and delivery
  • Communication and Relationship building skills
  • Ability to see past hurdles for outcomes to be achieved
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and act as custodian of sensitive information (Discretion)
  • Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language
