Job summary

Discovery Kidd is seeking a Supervisor, Production & Construction to oversee underground mining activities, optimize resources, and ensure safety/compliance at the Kidd Operations site.

The role reports to the Superintendent, Mucking & Construction, and requires multiple years of supervisory mining experience and underground training credentials. A competitive package is offered in CAD and includes benefits.

Qualifications

• Supervisory Common Core is required.
• Full Underground Common Core is required.
• 5+ years' experience in mining is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Promoting IRS & ensuring health, safety and environmental objectives are met, including monthly beat inspections, crew meetings, and supervisor meetings.
• Supervising production and construction activities by optimizing materials, labour and equipment to meet quality, production and financial targets.
• Directing and coaching employees to maximize performance and identifying training needs for health, safety and environment.
• Reviewing production, quality control, maintenance, downtime and reports to plan activities.
• Suggesting changes to improve procedures, equipment performance, conditions and product quality.
• Ensuring employees comply with company rules, policies and health, safety and environmental laws.
