Job summary

Thyssen Mining is seeking experienced Underground Miners to support development, production and construction activities on Ontario projects. You will work safely underground, perform ground support tasks, and operate mining equipment as qualified.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of underground mining experience, strong teamwork, and a valid driver's licence. FIFO travel and camp accommodations may be available; pre-employment medicals and drug testing are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of underground mining experience preferred.
• Experience in underground development, production, or construction mining.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in an underground environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver1s license.
• Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core and specialty modules are considered an asset.
• First Aid certification is considered an asset.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and Drug & Alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain ground support systems, including rock bolts, mesh, and screen.
• Conduct scaling and workplace inspections.
• Operate underground mining equipment as required and qualified.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment deficiencies.
• Handle and transport materials, tools, and supplies underground.
• Identify, report, and address workplace hazards.
• Work effectively as part of a crew to achieve production and development targets.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.

Thyssen Mining is currently seeking experienced, safety-conscious Underground Miners to join our team at mining projects across Ontario. Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting underground development, production, and construction activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workpersonship.

FIFO & Rotation Requirements

Successful applicants must be willing to:

• Work rotational schedules such as 14/14
• Travel to and from designated departure points
• Work at remote mine sites across Ontario
• Live in a camp environment when required
