Job summary

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is seeking a Miner 1 - Jumbo Operator to join the McIlvenna Bay underground development team. This full-time role is based at the McIlvenna Bay site in Northern Saskatchewan, operating on a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation and using a Sandvik Jumbo and other equipment to advance tunnels and install ground support.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in underground mining.
• 3+ years jumbo operating in an underground mine.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent with 8+ years underground experience.
• Skilled in drilling, blasting, and ground support installation (bolts, mesh, shotcrete).
• Valid Blasting Ticket or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Excavate and tunnel to access ore bodies (drifts, ramps).
• Install ground support such as bolts, mesh, and shotcrete.
• Drill and blast for mining access.
• Set up ventilation and mine services for safe airflow.
• Operate the Sandvik Jumbo to drill and install ground support.
• Maintain safety protocols and inspect equipment regularly.
• Identify efficiency and safety improvements.
• Follow sustainable mining practices and perform related underground tasks.
