Undergraduate Co-op Student

Location: Multiple - Oakville, Hamilton, Oshawa

Status: Fixed Term, Full Time

Education level: Post-secondary completion of a 2nd-year university program in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental, electrical, architectural, civil, nuclear, or structural), Business, Medical Radiation Sciences, and Isotopes.

Travel: 20%

Start Date: September 2025

Job Overview

Laurentis is seeking dynamic and result-driven self-starters in a post-secondary program to join our team as an Undergraduate Co-op Student. LEP’s operations strategy aims to pursue innovative growth opportunities by providing inspection, engineering, isotope, radiological development, and other services to the low-carbon energy industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Laurentis’ continued growth and success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist with preparing technical analysis to support design.
  • Support engineer updates, ensuring accuracy and quality of technical information and project documentation.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews.
  • Assist with preparing engineering reports.
  • Provide support for market assessments of services and technologies, including analysis and reporting of market and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate in problem resolution, including controversial issues.
  • Develop business, marketing, and financial plans and budgets; provide feedback on results.
  • Act as a leader and liaise with operations specialists and health physicists.
  • Make recommendations on team membership, organize work, and guide team members.
  • Contribute to discussions and make presentations.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical and financial proposals for international customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide independent engineering services for less complex problems.
  • Assist with technical service initiatives and develop documentation to ensure consistency.
  • Perform studies, investigations, and report preparations related to business opportunities.
  • Support special projects alongside site and shift managers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education

Post-secondary completion of a 2nd-year university program in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental, electrical, architectural, civil, nuclear, or structural), Business, Medical Radiation Sciences, or Isotopes.
