Uncertified Short-Term Teacher On Call (STTOC)

Chilliwack School District No. 33, located at the eastern end of the Fraser Valley, is one of a few growing school districts in the province. About the Position: We are seeking responsible and dynamic individuals to join our list of Casual Uncertified Short-term Teachers on Call. Preference will be given to individuals with a demonstrated work history or volunteer experience working with children and youth. Candidates must be available to attend new hire training from January 27 to January 30, 2025, to be considered in this hiring cohort.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Provide supervision and ensure the safety of students in the classroom during the absence of the regular teacher.
2. Carry out learning activities and follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
3. Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
4. Communicate effectively with school staff and students to support a smooth transition during the teacher's absence.
5. Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of each assignment.

Salary Range:

$284.34 per day
