Job summary

William Osler Health System in Brampton is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound across multiple modalities. You will provide high-quality imaging, assist radiologists, and ensure patient confidentiality while adhering to department standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, active CMRTITO registration, and CRGS with RVT eligibility or ARDMS consideration. Travel between Osler sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required.
• CRGS abdominal and obstetrics/gynecology with RVT eligibility within six months.
• ARDMS certification may be considered.
• Experience in abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and MSK preferred.
• FMF NT certification an asset.
• Proven skill in producing high-quality ultrasound images.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the expected job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment.
• Provide radiologists with high quality imaging and discuss ultrasound findings when necessary.
• Adhere to hospital policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Travel between and work at all Osler sites as required.
• Contribute to teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with clinical educators.

Accountabilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatment
• Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures
• Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Provide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the Radiologist when necessary
• Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
• Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
• Sonography Canada (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with Sonography Canada within six months of the date of hire
• Candidates with ARDMS certification may be considered
• Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferred
• FMF NT certification an asset
• Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Physical ability to perform the expected job duties
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish priorities
• Demonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educators
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Hours: CurrentlyDays/Evenings/Nights, including weekends and statutory holidays(subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

Salary:
Minimum: $36.84 per hour
Maximum: $51.76 per hour
