Job summary

Southlake Health Community in Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a permanent part-time role. The successful candidate will be registered with CMRITO, a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program, and maintain 25 CME credits per year; responsibilities include general, obstetrical, small parts and peripheral vascular exams with a focus on safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of current experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program recognized by Sonography Canada.
• Registration with CMRITO and 25 CME credits per year.
• Ability to perform general, obstetrical, small parts, and peripheral vascular exams.
• Professional liability insurance through Sonography Canada or OAMRS recommended.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Deliver safe, accurate, and patient-centered care following professional standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to ensure exceptional care.
• Maintain continuing education requirements (25 CME credits per year).
