Job summary

ML6 Search + Talent Advisory invites an Ultrasound Technologist to join a growing outpatient imaging network in Southwestern Ontario. You’ll perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, document high‑quality images, review histories, and collaborate with Sonographers and Radiologists to support accurate reporting.

Must be CMRI TO registered with CRGS/CRVS/CRCS or ARDMS (RDMS/OB‑GYN, RVT or RDCS), CPR certified, and carry professional liability insurance.

Qualifications

• Active registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• Credentials: CRGS, CRVS, CRCS or ARDMS with specified specializations.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current professional liability insurance.
• Compliance with ongoing CPD requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment and safety within scope.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during examinations.

• Explain procedures and address patient questions clearly.
• Obtain and document high-quality images with measurements and annotations.
• Review histories to ensure appropriate examinations are performed and documented.

• Escalate urgent findings per protocol.
• Maintain equipment QC and report issues.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining a calm, professional approach throughout each examination.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established protocols, policies, and professional standards.
• Ensure patients are comfortable and informed by clearly explaining the examination process and addressing questions or concerns appropriately.
• Obtain and document high-quality images, including required views, measurements, and annotations, to support accurate assessment and interpretation.
• Review patient histories and requisitions to ensure the appropriate examination is performed and document any relevant variations.
• Accurately complete technical worksheets, examination documentation, and electronic patient records.
• Ensure examinations and supporting documentation are submitted promptly to facilitate timely interpretation and reporting.
• Identify and appropriately escalat urgent findings or concerns in accordance with established protocols.
• Verify examination reports following transcription and dictation to support accurate and timely communication of results.
• Maintain accurate billing and examination records and ensure all services performed are appropriately documented.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and related computer systems safely and effectively, including RIS, PACS, Radiant, and Intelebrowser.
• Perform equipment quality control and report incidents, accidents, or equipment concerns in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate effectively with Sonographers, Radiologists, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to support efficient clinic operations.
• Assist with the orientation and training of students and new staff as required.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical protocols, professional standards, company policies, and best practices through ongoing professional development.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

• Active registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
• One of the following Sonography Canada credentials:
• Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS)
• Canadian Registered Vascular Sonographer (CRVS)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS)
• OR one of the following American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) credentials:
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in both Abdomen and OB/GYN
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Adult Echo
• Current CPR certification.
• Current professional liability insurance.
• Compliance with continuing professional development requirements of the applicable credentialing body.
• Strong technical knowledge and clinical judgment, with the ability to work safely and effectively within your scope of training and practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to patient experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a busy clinical environment.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and record keeping.

Compensation: $38.00-$41.00/hour
