Job summary

PwC Canada in Vancouver seeks a Manager in International Tax Services to help multinational clients address cross-border tax needs, manage global tax rates, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. You’ll support US federal/state tax compliance, transfer pricing, and strategic planning across Canada.

You’ll coach staff, develop technical acumen, and contribute to client service delivery using AI and analytics. Vancouver-based, with opportunities to collaborate across North America.

Qualifications

• Experience in US Federal and state corporate income tax.
• US CPA or Canadian CPA designation.
• Masters of US Taxation considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with US tax research tools (Checkpoint/BNA/CCH) is a plus.

A career in our International Tax Desk practice, within International Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help multinational companies address their cross border tax needs both locally and globally by managing their global tax rates, finding areas of cost reduction, and responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities. You’ll gain a global perspective and an awareness of tax issues stemming from changes to evolving business structures and geographic expansions.

Our team advises our clients on tax laws and reporting, legislation and planning strategies based on the geography and jurisdiction. You’ll be assisting our team with local tax laws, reporting requirements, statutory filings, corporate strategy, transfer pricing and indirect tax and other international taxation needs.

• Plan and review US federal, state, and local tax compliance projects for a broad range of clients
• Assisting our clients in managing their US tax needs, including but not limited to reorganizations, loss limitation rules, earnings stripping, etc. to a portfolio of diverse clients
• Assist with matters associated with cross border mergers and acquisitions ranging from due diligence, acquisition and divestiture planning, cross border financing structures, as well as post-merger integrations
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
• Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
• Train, coach, and supervise staff across Canada
• Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues including Federal and state income tax changes and their impact on your client portfolio
• Leverage and continue to develop capabilities in AI, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance tax research, technical analysis, written deliverables, tax compliance, quantitative calculations, and client service delivery

• Experience in US Federal and state corporate income tax
• US CPA or Canadian CPA or other relevant professional designation
• Completion of Masters of US Taxation considered an asset
• Experience with US domestic and international tax issues including tax research
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with OneSource or GoSystem and US tax research applications such as Checkpoint, BNA or CCH is considered an asset
• A demonstrated collaborative mindset and a technology-first approach to problem solving, leveraging AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and enhance client service

The salary range for this position is $$87,700 - $137,700. The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for PwC locations in major citycentres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary isdeterminedby your skills, experience,qualificationsand work location.
