Job description

You’ll love it here! We arehiring immediatelyfor a(6-month) fixed-term contract, Geek Squad TV Repair Technician.As a TV Repair Technician, you will be part of a collaborative team that works to diagnose, repair, and test various customer units, and returned units. Your role will focus on TV diagnostics and repair.

Availability Requirement

You must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours a week. Availability for weekends (Saturday and Sunday) may be required.

This is a 6-month contract with potential for contract extensions or permanent positions beyond the end date.

As a TV Repair Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose TVs to determine parts required for repair
  • Create part orders in SMARTS
  • Disassemble, reassemble and test TVs
  • Replace malfunctioning parts
  • Ensure unit records are kept up-to-date and accurate
  • Identify common faults and trends
  • Assist Product Testers as required

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in product testing and refurbishment
  • Ability to handle TV’s safely on a repeated basis
  • Strong written and verbal communication/customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver solutions with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to maintain efficient product flow and an organized work environment
  • Previous experience in electronics repair and/or diagnostics is an asset
  • Proficiency in Clarify Smarts and other Best Buy systems is an asset
  • Experience ordering parts and knowledge of Smart Parts inventory is an asset
  • Proven reliability, attention to detail and sound decision-making

Base pay range

Hourly pay rate: $19.80 - $20.54
