Job Title: Experienced Product Developer (Part-Time, Growth Opportunity)

Location: Hybrid

Type: 20 hours per week to start, with potential to grow into a full-time role

About Turf:

Turf is an activewear brand designed for and around the popular Kitsilano TurF experience. Rooted in fit, function, and innovation, using beautiful fabrics, elevated trims, and a studio-to-street sensibility. As we continue to grow the line, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Active Product Developer to help bring our vision to life.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Developer with a sharp eye for detail, deep knowledge of activewear construction, and a passion for quality. This role is responsible for turning creative concepts into production-ready styles that meet the high standards of fit, function, and aesthetic Turf is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own the end-to-end product development process from design handoff to production.
2. Partner with design, the GM, and the factory to develop seasonal collections.
3. Source innovative fabrics, trims, and techniques that align with Turf.
4. Create detailed tech packs, BOMs, and CADs to communicate design intent.
5. Manage sample development process across multiple seasons, ensuring fit, quality, and brand standards.
6. Track development calendars and proactively solve issues to meet milestones.
7. Work closely with overseas vendors and manufacturers to manage approvals and troubleshoot challenges.
8. Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and merchandising.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in activewear or performance-based apparel development.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric performance, and fit.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and PLM systems.
• Proven experience managing product development from concept to production.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Passion for movement, wellness, fashion, and the lifestyle Turf represents.
