Overview

We are seeking a TSSA Certified Ride Mechanic responsible for operational and technical support, including the repair, maintenance, and inspection of amusement rides and related systems at Fantasy Fair, located in Woodbine Mall. This role ensures that all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with TSSA standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical repaired, preventative maintenance, upgrades and modification on amusement rides, and related systems and devices
• Assess the safety of amusement rides, and related systems by assembling, dismantling, inspecting, troubleshooting, and testing equipment.
• Diagnose system malfunctions, determine the necessary parts, and perform required repair.
• Execute necessary modifications and upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and computerized components of amusement rides and related systems
• Source and obtain competitive quotes for maintenance projects
• Consistently maintain accurate and detailed inspection logs for all maintenance and work performance in accordance with TSSA standards
• Collaborate with Property Management team to provide labour and support for special events

Qualifications

• Certification from a recognized skilled trade program
• TSSA Certified Amusement Device Mechanics (must meet all TSSA requirements)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems including relevant maintenance procedures, codes, and standards
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS), and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA);
• Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Amusement Devices Act and TSSA standards and regulations to ensure safety code and standards are met
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and conduct repairs
• Strong interpersonal skills and communications skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
