Job summary

Parts for Trucks, Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck & Transport Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, and petroleum tanks. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems, and ensure timely completion of repairs.

The ideal candidate has licensed or apprenticed status with a strong diagnostic aptitude, good communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. A valid driver’s license and a clean abstract are required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed or Apprentice Truck & Transport Technician.
  • Proven experience in a heavy-duty truck repair shop.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, and tanks.
  • Perform diagnostics, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Document all work and maintain records accurately.
  • Collaborate with service team to meet customer expectations.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on all makes of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, and petroleum tanks.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve mechanical problems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely completion of repairs and meet customer expectations.
  • Accurately document all work performed and maintain detailed records.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in truck & transport technology.
Requirements
  • Licensed or Apprentice Truck & Transport Technician.
  • Proven experience as a Truck & Transport Technician in a heavy-duty truck repair shop.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and able to perform intermittent heavy lifting.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driver’s abstract.
