Job summary

Cobalt Construction in Yukon is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of highway trucks and trailers across the Yukon.

You will diagnose, perform preventative maintenance, complete annual CVIPs, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to keep the fleet safe and operational for civil construction projects.

Competitive hourly wage based on experience with overtime opportunities and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyperson or Red Seal preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of truck and trailer systems (engine, brakes, suspension, etc.).
• Experience with diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety-first attitude and strong work ethic.
• Certified CVIP inspector.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair highway trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine services.
• Complete annual inspections and CVIPs.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team in maintaining and repairing our fleet of highway trucks and trailers. This role is critical to ensuring our vehicles are safe, operational, and performing at a high standard, supporting Cobalt Construction's civil construction projects across the Yukon.

• Complete annual inspections and CVIPs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Work independently or as part of a team to keep the fleet running smoothly
