Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and truck-trailer systems
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults
• Perform repair work on heavy trucks and test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Service attachments, working tools, and replace defective parts as needed

Experience and Specialization

• Diesel engines, standard transmission, engine repair and overhaul, truck-trailer repair
• Hydraulic transmissions, mechanical transmissions, drive trains, and final drives

Requirements
